Keynote Speakers Biographies

  • Rev. David Doong (Ph.D. in Theology, Fuller) is currently the general secretary of CCCOWE (Chinese Coordination Center of World Evangelism). He is a pastor (10 years in U.S. ministering to Chinese international students, young professionals, and 2nd generation Chinese Americans; 2 years in Taiwan), an adjunct professor in various seminaries (teaching “Practical Theology and Contemporary Issues” and “Ministry Practices in a Pluralistic Society”), and the author of “Practical Theology as Discipleship”. His passion is to be a bridge-builder between different generations, cultures, and disciplines, exploring faithful ministry practices in today’s pluralistic world dominated by the market economy and ideological conflicts.

    董家驊牧師出生在台灣（1981），大學畢業後赴美讀神學，在 Fuller 神學院取得道學碩士（2008）和神學博士（2015）。自 2006 年起在洛杉磯台福教會服事華人留學生、年輕新移民和年輕家庭，並在北美不同的教會、高中校園與大專校園向留學生佈道，同時從事校園事奉者的培訓工作。2016 年開始，除了參與在北美華人學生的牧養外，也開始服事華人教會的第二代（ABC），牧養教會的英文堂。2018 年返回台灣，在石牌信友堂牧會，並將於 2021 年八月接任世界華福中心的總幹事。著有《二十一世紀門徒現場》等著作，自我定位是一座橋樑，期許把教會實踐與神學反省，專業神學與門徒生命，教會的使命與基督徒的日常生活，信仰實踐與公共空間連結起來。

 

  • Rev. Mark Peters has been involved in pastoral ministry for 23 years, serving on the staff team at First Alliance Church (Calgary) and then as Lead Pastor at North Shore Alliance Church for 13 years.
    Mark is passionate about Scripture and theology; he is particularly interested in the intersection between Christ and Culture. Mark is a strategic thinker and a collaborative leader who enjoys identifying, equipping, and empowering others.
    Mark is married to Naomi and has two children, Luke (beginning university) and Anna (High School). Mark loves sports of all kinds (long distance running, soccer, tennis, and golf ) and he is also a woodturner in his free time.
