Listen to Reports and Sermons ::
Dear members of our Chinese Alliance family:
Peace and grace to you from Our Lord Jesus Christ!
The third conference of the Chinese Alliance World Fellowship went exceptionally well with about 200 delegates from 24 countries/regions in Hong Kong during November 3-6, 2009. We met at the beautiful facilities of the Hebron Alliance Church in Tsimshatsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong. CAWF was inaugurated five years ago at our first conference in Hong Kong in October, 2005, with the purpose of connecting the Chinese Alliance members to fulfill Christ's Great Commission among the Chinese people around the world. The second conference was held in Taipei, Taiwan in 2007.
Praise the Lord for what He has done among us in granting us this precious opportunity to strategize together to fulfill the Great Commission in different places of this globe. Our theme "Gathering Feathers to Sew a Coat; Following Our Pioneers to Open New Fronts" exhorts us to continue moving forward further in this post-modern world. Besides receiving exciting ministry reports from representatives from various regions, every evening, we held public missions meetings to encourage brothers and sisters to participate in world mission, with popular speakers like Dr. Philemon Choi, Dr. Jason Yeung, Dr. Gordon Siu, and Dr. James Cheung. At the General meeting on the last day, we decided to meet once in three years rather than two years to allow for longer preparation time for the conferences, and also elected CAWF representatives from Hong Kong, the US, Canada, Taiwan, and France, to serve as planning committee for our next conference of 2012, with Rev. Tim Sau Yiu of Hong Kong Alliance Church Union as coordinator.
Let us join our hearts and hands to pray for this cooperative effort of all the Chinese Alliance people of the world aiming to live the Call together. May His Kingdom come soon!
Yours for His Great Commission,
Michael Wu Executive Director Chinese Churches Association
